To Close For Comfort

A four hour display of lightning lit up the night sky after midnight on June 3, 2010. The pictures were taken between Springdale and Sonora, AR looking toward Rogers, AR. You could see transformers blowing up every once in a while due to the lightning.

My favorite shot of the night and one of my better shots ever. This picture only captured 1/3 of the lightning that took place. Two more close bolts occurred to the right of this picture. It was awesome, but to close for comfort. The lightning was about 1/4 of a mile away. After this shot I headed back to the truck. Picture is the July 2010 photo of the month.
